The people of Kabba-Bunu have started to prepare ahead of the 14 days lockdown that was ordered by the State Governor His Excellency Yahaya Bello on Monday, 1st of June 2020.

” Following the alleged and controversial COVID-19 index case in Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Bello in a state broadcast on Monday, 1st of June, 2020, has Ordered 14 days ABSOLUTE Lockdown of Kabba-Bunu LGA of the State effective from 12 midnight June 2nd”
“During The Lockdown, there shall be no house to house movement within the local government area”
There was an alleged index Covid19 cases in the local government area by NCDC, it was due to that reason the state government has placed lockdown in the affected local government area which is in accordance with the NCDC protocol as one of the measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
The people have been aware of the government directive so in order to stay safe and healthy during the lockdown have gone to the market to purchase foodstuffs that will see them through the 14 days lockdown.
According to one of the people to our reporter said: ” It’s important for the government to provide palliative to the good of Kabba-Bunu in order to stay in good health condition during this lockdown”. It has been noted that some of the constituent leaders have been providing palliative care even before the lockdown was ordered.
The people have then gone to the market to buy food and necessary materials that will be useful and helpful to them and their families during the lockdown.
