“James Rodriguez this, James Rodriguez that”: The Colombian also impressed when he first joined Real Madrid

James Rodriguez left Real Madrid to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti at Everton in a move that in all honesty should have happened a season or two ago.

The Colombian has shown bright with the Toffees registering 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 Premier League appearances. His performances has drawn praises and applauds from fans, pundits and critics, with many even shooting arrows at Zidane and Real Madrid for seemingly depriving the 29 year old from reaching his full potential at the Bernabeu.

It’s still early days in the premier league and yet his showings has been sensational. But four from thirty eight league games is not enough to earn a pass mark, especially when remembering that James also did well when he first joined Real Madrid after an electrifying worldcup display six years ago. The Colombian found the back of the net 13 times and provided a further 13 in his first Laliga Campaign.

In subsequent seasons,: injuries, change in coaching staff and form were all contributing factors to his rollercoaster performances.

James lost prominence and was forced to seek a loan move as he joined German powerhouse, Bayern Munich. He returned two years later and for one reason or another, was still unable to nail a spot in Zidane’s lineup.

Now an Everton player, the ex Real Madrid man is starting to remind the world that he’s still that kid that dazzled in the 2014 worldcup.

The attacker at this moment, is putting smile on the faces of supporters and for how long these wonderful displays will last is anyone’s guess. But for all lauding ; ” James Rodriguez this, James Rodriguez that”, should not forget that the Colombian also impressed when he first joined Real Madrid.
