President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the government and people of Oyo State over the death of the former governor, Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.
Buhari said Ajimobi’s contributions to the development of the state, and nation, will always be recognized.
The President also commiserated with the family of Abiola Ajimobi .
Buhari’s condolence was retained in a statement signed by his spokesman, Femi Adesina.
The statement reads: “As the party chieftain bows out, President Buhari believes he left the world at a crucial moment when the party and the country needed his counsels to heal, and grow, noting that his absence will be sorely felt by all associates, particularly in the APC.”
The President prayed that the Almighty God will comfort the family of the former governor, and grant him a peaceful rest.
Recall, It was rumored last week that the Senator had passed on, however, the special adviser to Abiola Ajimobii on communication and strategy, Bolaji Tunji, dismissed the rumours in a statement obtained by Channels Television.
Reliable sources who are closed with the family said the former Governor would be buried in Ibadan at 10:00 am on today according to the Islamic rites.
